Baby Update

By Danndel, January 27, 2011 9:19 am

We had our 32 week appointment with our obstetrician today so I thought it was a good time for a baby update!

Everything is going well, BT’s head is pointed in the right direction, BP was up slightly but still well within normal range, iron levels were a little low but nothing to worry about and I definately don’t have gestational diabetes!!

The decision was made today that I will need to go to Canberra Hospital to deliver BT so we’ve been referred to the foetal medicine unit there and are currently waiting on them to call me to set up an appointment. Good news is that I can transfer back to Queanbeyan hospital once BT is safely delivered. I prefer Queanbeyan Hospital cause its smaller, I can have my own room and Daniel  can stay with me 24/7.

I am feeling very well, I really have had a very easy pregnancy and its in no small  part due my amazing husband and how well he looks after me :o )

Love to all, will  update again after our next appointment in 2 weeks xx

Roof Storage

By phroghollow, January 14, 2011 6:19 am

Well the countdown is on, BT will arrive in what feels like no time at all. Adele`s parents are coming round tomorrow to help us clean out Adele`s craft room and setup a room for BT. So to do this we decided the best place to store this stuff was in the roof. So I got up in the roof yesterday and measured up. Today I grabbed Paul and we got panels of MDF (Cut to size at Bunnings, No circular saw needed) into the roof. we lined them up and then screwed them down. Now we`re ready for tomorrow and another step closer to the arrival of BT :) .

We were in Ballina for the Lunar Eclipse on the 21st of December. We were just having a nice dinner and all went out to have a look, we didn`t have our camera handy so I borrowed my sister-in-law Beth`s camera(Nikon D5000 18-200mm Lens) and took a shot :

We went to see Bon Jovi on the 18th of December at the Sydney Football Stadium, we stayed with Gemma and Sam, who kindly volunteered to drive into the city. We had a Beer at the Bavarian Bier Cafe then headed into the grounds and had something to eat. Grabbed a Bon Jovi Program and headed to our seats.

Setlist for the night :

- We were lucky and got a 2nd Encore. All in all, Adele and Gemma enjoyed the show.

Yay Concert

Not bad seats

Next day it was off to Ballina for Christmas with the Family, Yaay. Aight, Bye.

Adele’s Update….. Finally

By Danndel, December 10, 2010 9:27 am

Yes Daniel, ok I’ll do a blog update from me :o )

Thought I’d tell you about my Pop’s 90th. It was it late October and the Rummery clan descended on Glen Innes from all over the place.

The weekend started on the Saturday as everyone started to arrive, we had a family BBQ at Pop’s place on the old brick BBQ that’s up the back, hadn’t been used in about 20 years but it still worked!!!

Sunday was Pop’s birthday and we held a special birthday lunch for him up at the New England Club, it was a great day and my cousin and his wife organised a professional photographer to take some happy snaps!!

So here are a few, starting of course with the birthday boy himself…

Then us with Pop….

And I couldn’t resist this one, 4 generations of Rummery’s…

I can’t help but point out the youngest cousin on my Uncle Phil’s lap, little Kyle he was only 4 months old and soooooo cute!!!

So it was a lovely weekend, even if our accommodation was a little dodgy, we stayed in a very old, run down hotel, but it was next door to McDonald’s and Daniel did the coffee run on they way back from his run one morning :o )

So for more recent stuff, I am well, how can I not be, I have become a lady of leisure. My lovely husband does EVERYTHING, he cooks, cleans, does washing, he does everything :o ) I’m 25 weeks now and going strong, going for my glucose test next week, provided I don’t forget, I’ve become some what forgetful!!

Next weekend we head up to Sydney on Saturday, we spend the night with good friends Gemma & Sam and we’re going to the Bon Jovi Concert, YAY!!! I’ve been waiting all year for this concert and I promise to blog about it!!! Then on Sunday we head up to Ballina, can’t wait to see everyone :o )

So I think that enough rambling for now, I promise to try and update more regularly :o )

Queanbeyan Flood

By phroghollow, December 9, 2010 12:31 am

Well the Queanbeyan river is flooding, Adele and I are in no danger….we think. Adele is heading home to look after Ellie and Azrael, but there really is no danger…..we think.

Anyway some pics :

I normally walk Ellie along the front of here. This is the front of the Queanbeyan Leagues Club

Whooping Cough

By phroghollow, December 6, 2010 6:22 am

Just a quick post regarding the new baby, when he/she arrives anyone coming to visit we’ll expect to have had a whooping cough vaccine booster, the first 6 weeks are specifically bad apparently, so the obstetrician has recommended that anyone who intended coming to visit should visit their doctor around February to have this done. Yes most people have had one of these when they were children but it requires a booster and with outbreaks being reported in Australia it’s getting important, so please don’t be offended if you are asked about this when you ask to come visit. I’m not looking for an argument on the pro’s and cons of vaccinations, I have done my own research and am not looking for any further information unless it comes from a certified health professional. Peace out. Bye.
